In the early 1980's, Awesome John had established many legendary cult bands like “Full Swing, Concrete Sky, Zacheria, Gundez, and Katawba".
Bands in Turkey
During his thirty-five (35) year career in Turkey, Asım Can Gündüz, mentored hundreds of musicians. During this time he established the "Baba Blues Band, Ambulans, Hard Raki, and and Asım Can Gündüz Band.

His last band members were Onurcan Polat (23), his drummer who started with the band when he was 17 years old, and his bass player Salih Yeniev (32).

Christopher Douglas was a member of my brother's band in Astoria, Queens. He passed away September 12, 2010. Rest in peace dear friend.
